Every product manufactured undergoes several check point to ensure consistency and precision according to design specifications.
Routine test applied to all products manufactured while Type test performed specifically for prototype designs. All tests performed to conform with customer’s specified standard (ANSI/IEC/SPLN) to ensure transformers are meet/exceed standard specifications. B&D Transformer accredited for ISO9002 and ISO9001:2000 as benchmark quality recognization and quality certificate including short circuit certificate from LMK.
Test Points Routine test-for every products manufactured.
- Transformer Turn Ratio
- Vector group & tapping
- Insulation & winding resistance, no-load and full-load loss
- Withstand voltage test
- Induced over-voltage test
- Tank leakage test
Losses Measurement Console measures Percentage Impedance Voltage, No-load Loss (Core Losses), No-load excitation Current, Full-load Loss (Copper & Stray Losses). Leak detection test A Welder fixing leaking point during tank leaking test in Ultra-Violet Chamber Type Tests-for prototype products.
- Temperature-rise test
- Lightning impulse test
- 105% no-load test
- Short-circuit test*
- Audible noise test*
*Performed at LMK facility Temperature-rise Test Transformer is fully loaded and 3 temperature points (cover, radiator sides) are measured to ensure temperature rise during operation fall under standards. Lightning Impulse Console Voltage test based on IEC 76 / ANSI C.57 / SPLN 97 Basic Impulse insulation Level (BIL) to verify transformer integrity against lightning strike |
